Large Borders and Beds for Planting
A large established garden, with beautiful old apple trees and so much potential. Our green fingered client came to us asking for a large patio at the back of the house and around the greenhouse, with pathways leading down to a summerhouse at the bottom of the garden, and a circular lawn. We began designing with the large patio, which we used Indian Sandstone Multi size, to match the house and also give warm tones throughout the year. Focussing on the details we included three overlapping circles within this patio to break up of the large amounts of paving. We wanted a natural soft flow to garden, and wanted to create a journey, and so we edged the borders with soft complimentary curves, with a path running down one side of the garden, which turned into a circle path at the bottom, allowing access to all points at the bottom of the garden. During construction we also decided to curve the patio of the greenhouse to follow the curves of the path. For low maintenance we used a bound gravel for the pathways. The curves in this garden add interest, movement and flow. The large borders draw your eye and the pathways force you into our clients fantastic borders. A beautiful garden to be proud of.
A happy client...
James and Larissa have created a wonderful outdoor space which is a joy to us both. They have an ability to empathise with a clients vision and work through ideas to improve and build on the plan. Communication was a constant throughout the creation of our garden and they were happy to adapt and be flexible as the job progressed. The materials they suggested for our project were just what we envisioned and complimented the design beautifully. Their eye for detail and careful thought never faltered throughout the project and their friendly company was a bonus too! Prices are competitive and we are beyond happy with our finished garden. Thank you both for your hard work and 100% effort. - Mrs Bursteinas
